Job Title: US Programmes Digital Capability Delivery Manager

Location: Samlesbury. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £63,900 + depending on skills and experiences plus executive benefits

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the delivery of a portfolio of enabling digital and data projects across the US Programmes business. The portfolio includes, for example:

o Delivery of investment activity

o Delivery of non-contract projects and additional support

o Support to bids and contracts

  • Leading and supporting key growth through US Programmes investments and supporting improvement in business capabilities
  • Overseeing the quality and appropriateness of the work performed
  • Actively managing relationships with US Programmes senior stakeholders
  • Working with the business to identify, understand and mitigate key project and solution risks (including cyber security, regulatory compliance etc)
  • Delivering measurable business benefits, adopting and/or modifying existing capability improvement approaches as necessary
  • Collaborating with colleagues to establish effective relationships between stakeholders, particularly the technology functions and end users
  • Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT team by driving value and managing costs through joint working, embedding a culture of individual accountability for service delivery across the organisation and our technology partners

Your skills and experience:

  • Using Project Management skills at SFIA level 6 and a broad range of other skills at a similar level
  • Taking the lead role, owning specific work areas, and directing others
  • Leading work groups to resolve issues over an extended period (weeks/months)
  • Working regularly with and providing authoritative input to senior customer and supplier stakeholders
  • Using a high level of commercial awareness
  • Carrying out resource and milestone planning
  • Managing significant budgets
  • Ensuring the Health & Safety of employees and operations in accordance with Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Developing the capability of others

The US Programmes team:

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within our Digital Technology Services management team in the US Programmes Line of Business, reporting to the Head of IM&T for US Programmes.

As the US Programmes Digital Capability Delivery Manager, you will hold a vital position of responsibility in shaping and leading the Project Management organisation within DTD&I, showing direction and delivery within the business, relating to IT enabled opportunities, as well as representing the businesses best interests with the customer base and BAE Systems globally.
