Job title: Typhoon Avionics – Systems & Software Integration Lead

Location: Warton – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £47,683-£52,426 (dependent on skills and experience)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creation, update and management of the avionics Engineering Programme on behalf of the head of department
  • Hold weekly programme review meetings with AVS-SS Sub Cam teams to update the programme directly with teams via these sessions including Jira milestone dates
  • Support Project Management team updating OPP in the EV progress cycle
  • Management of live activities through the Jira toolset
  • Lead change activity for programme change triggers
  • In brief of EF Operations, contract team programmes to set context and key drivers
  • Identification of external dependencies with required by dates to be advertised externally and forecasts reported back internally
  • Escalation route for all dependency issues
  • Coordination of response to externally programme construct changes and resolution of difference in approach with interfacing organisations (e.g. AJT merge/branch strategies)

Your skills and experiences:

  • Engineering degree is preferred
  • IT tools such as Microsoft office and Microsoft projects
  • Interpersonal skills across a range of Engineering skills and disciplines
  • Demonstrable experience of stakeholder management at multiple organisational levels

Avionics Integration team:

The Avionics Integration (AVS) team plays a crucial role in managing the lifecycle and ensuring seamless integration of systems and software for Typhoon Avionics Sub Systems, supporting both current and future contracts related to the Typhoon aircraft. Additionally, the team collaborates closely with partner companies and the Eurofighter organisation to align efforts and deliver comprehensive solutions

As the organisation secures new business, additional export and core nation opportunities are created, further expanding their portfolio. Working within the AVS integration framework offers a solid foundation in the Typhoon programme, providing exposure to various teams and companies collaborating on these projects. The team’s contributions ensure the continued success and growth of the Typhoon programme
