Job Title: Training Courseware Products Engineer

Location: Samlesbury. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £47,683 + depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Management and maintenance of Instructional System Development (ISD) processes & procedures, work assignment, program reviews, design, Quality Assurance, Configuration Management, and Analysis
  • Provide advice in all areas of F-35 UK specific ISD and Courseware development
  • Development of new Courseware, as requirements dictate, for F-35, delivered to both Pilots and Maintainers
  • Work closely with a Graphic Artist/Media Developer to define new graphics to support the CW development
  • Ensure developed training products and services are delivered to Lockheed Martin & National customers’ in accordance with both contractual and technical requirements
  • Liaise with F-35 Development Team with regards to UK unique training requirements
  • Provide engineering project management support to the ISD & CW Products Lead for resource planning and risk management
  • Provide Training Systems knowledge in support of future bids

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Qualification in an engineering discipline, preferably to HNC, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in developing and creating lessons to a set of requirements
  • Understanding of the Planning, Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate (PADDIE/ADDIE) model for courseware development

Desirable:

  • Having Teaching/Instructor qualifications
  • Fast Jet experience as either Ground crew or Aircrew
  • An understanding of DSAT (JSP822) and/or Instructional Systems Design (ISD)

The team:

The team is primarily tasked to carry out requests to develop and source Courseware products for the UK customer, the MoD. The main focus of the Courseware products is training material for weapon systems for the F-35 platform and providing syllabuses for the ITC who can then teach the RAF and the RN. You will work as part of a multi-functional Team servicing both the UK F-35 Training Systems capability as well as the F-35 Enterprise Training System. This role will Focus on the development training materiel to support F-35 Air Vehicle development.

The position will also give the opportunity for US & European travel, to support current UK Weapons contracted for F-35
