About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Supportability Engineering Analyst – Supply Support to join our Maritime Australia business on the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP). Reporting to the Supply Support Team Lead, you will be employed on a permanent full time basis, based at either our Melbourne CBD or Osborne Adelaide location.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

BAE Systems Maritime Australia (formerly known as ASC Shipbuilding), has been contracted to design and deliver the world’s most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates to the Royal Australian Navy. The Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) will create and sustain more than 5,000 jobs across BAE Systems and the wider Australian Defence supply chain over the life of the program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Under the guidance of the Supply Support Team Lead, progressively identify, develop and deliver the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) Outfit Allowance List (OAL). The OAL records the range and quantity of the equipment required on-board the ship
  • Update and maintain supply support work instructions and bench level instructions including detailing tools, processes, data dependencies and outputs
  • Collaborate effectively and build good relationships with the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) team, the Supply Chain, internal and external stakeholders, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Provide supply support skills and advice to support the program
  • Track and record the progress of Outfit Allowance List (OAL) development, prepare OAL data for review and contribute in meetings
  • Create, update and maintain part records in the Outfit Allowance List (OAL) database, ensuring part data is maintained to a high standard

About YOU

  • Supply support experience, or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), or supportability engineering, or supply chain experience
  • A relevant technical qualification, proficiency with database systems with the ability to manipulate data in databases and MS Excel
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills, the ability to influence and develop effective working relationships
  • The ability to review, analyse and interpret technical data and engineering operability statements
  • Self-motivation, proactive and driven to improve current process and solve problems
  • Whilst not essential, maritime Defence industry experience or Defence experience, will be highly regarded
