Job Title: Supportability Engineer

Location: Rochester, Kent

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyse failure data and contribute to the Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System process
  • Evaluate and allocate specification requirements to ensure compliance and functionality
  • Maintain accurate records of repair history, configuration standards, spare parts inventory, and support equipment
  • Track and manage project action items to ensure timely resolution and project progression
  • Prepare quarterly technical summaries and status reports to communicate project progress and key developments
  • Compile an annual presentation pack detailing repair history and project status
  • Conduct reliability analysis and make predictions to support project and system performance
  • Perform maintainability analysis and forecasting to enhance system performance over product life cycle
  • Develop spares and repairs forecast models to ensure sufficient stock and timely repairs

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Highly proficient in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting, with excellent skills in Excel (including graphs / data visualisation)
  • Experience in technical product development and/or repair/support
  • Ability to write and prepare technical reports to meet project deadlines
  • Experience in industries such as automotive, aviation, defence, aerospace, pharmaceutical equipment, energy, rail, ships, or security systems, with a solid understanding of engineering principles

Desirable:

  • Demonstrable experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Supportability Engineering

The ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) team:

Due to exciting growth within our team, we’re looking for a Supportability Engineer to join the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) group at our Rochester site. The ILS team provides vital analysis and modelling services to support the development of products like Head-Up Displays (HUD), Helmet Display Systems, Flight Control Systems, and Mission Computers, spanning all stages of the product life cycle from development to in-service support.

In this role, you’ll focus on supporting a multi-year HUD repair and sustainment contract, with opportunities to contribute to other high-impact projects.
