Job Title: Financial Control Audit Co-Ordinator

Location: Preston (any UK site can also be considered). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £56,000-£58,000

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing the annual statutory audit schedules as required by external auditor
  • Leading the liaison with external auditors to ensure the year-end audit is delivered to deadlines, including resolving queries promptly, and co-ordinating the finance team to provide audit samples as per the agreed timeframes
  • Maintaining comprehensive and well-organised Audit documentation
  • Working closely with the Head of Financial Control Shared Services, identify and implement process improvements to ensure finance processes are efficient, resilient, and robust.
  • Conducting periodic assessments of internal controls and recommend improvements to financial process

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

  • Experience using ERP systems, including SAP
  • Proven communication and training abilities
  • Self-Starter who can work autonomously, ability to prioritise workload and be proactive, ability to work flexibly and handle multiple tasks
  • Up to date knowledge to apply accounting standards (UKGAAP/IFRS), specifically IFRS 16 Leases, IAS38 & IFRS15
  • High attention to detail and ability to question and analyse financial data.
  • A focus on corporate governance and internal audit as UK SOX policies are implemented
  • Proven knowledge in Financial Control
  • Professional Certification held (i.e. ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc)

Desirable

  • Proficiency in internal control systems and financial software
  • Knowledge of Shared Service environments
