Job Title: Senior Supply Chain Manager – Supplier Performance

What you’ll be doing:
- Works as part of the functional supply chain leadership team to develop and execute supplier performance improvement strategy
- Champion, coach and coordinate an integrated approach to supplier improvement.
- Define and manages supplier improvement standard tool sets, reporting, governance approaches, and solutions, requiring the job holder to plan, deliver and deploy appropriate support and resource.
- Subject matter expert providing and seeking best practices to challenge existing methodologies and disciplines.
- Help resolve complex supplier improvement issues and serves as strategic lead to ensure programmes deliver maximum benefit and outcome
- Develop culture of Root Cause Investigations across the BAE Systems supply base utilising Lean Six Sigma methodology
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is advantageous
- Proven experience in supplier performance improvement working across the procurement structure
- Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Total Quality Management
- Coaching and supporting internal development as required
Desirable:
- Lean practitioner and or six sigma green belt

The BAE Maritime Submarines Supply Chain Team:
Our Submarines business has been safely delivering world class submarines to the UK Royal Navy for more than a century. You will be responsible for the development of strategic, critical and leverage suppliers across Maritime Submarines. You will work across the UK identifying and delivering improvements to mitigate risks to Quality, Cost and Delivery and maximising the probability of programme success, continuity, and longevity of supply. This role will provide you with an opportunity to work ‘in the field’ to influence and support the external supply chain.
We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
