Job Description
Job title: Senior Quality Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £35,802+ per annum
What you’ll be doing:
- Produce accurate daily, weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) reports relating to Quality Inspection, Assurance and Compliance
- Create clear and easy to understand reports and data
- Maintain dashboards to demonstrate performance against business goals and targets
- Maintain current Quality systems and databases
- Provide technical and professional support
- Look for continuous improvement opportunities within Quality metrics and data, liaising with stakeholders to identify and develop reporting improvements
- Develop value added Quality reporting metrics upon request
- Identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in data sets
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access etc
- Good working knowledge of SAP
- Can deal with queries, undertake report writing and present findings to team members
- Ability to collect, organise, analyse data with attention to detail & accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines when necessary

The Quality Performance Reporting Team:
The team sits within the Quality Function and is responsible for the analysis and provision of Quality data to support the Quality Director, all members of the Quality function, the Submarines Management Committee, Managing Director and the customer. Working an immediate team of four, looking at Quality performance reporting within the Quality function, which will involve working with the senior Quality leadership team, stakeholders within the Quality function and across other functions and areas of the Submarines business.
