Job Title: Senior Project Professional – Delivery

Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: from £40,748 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the Security Department and Security CAM (Control Account Manager) to manage function and programme cost requirements, analysis, budgeting & reporting
  • Managing intermediate problem solving typically based on previous experience
  • Leading a small non-complex project or a work package of a larger project
  • Identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the project and applying appropriate project management methods and tools
  • Managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate across a variety of functions and programmes both internal and external
  • Consolidating expertise from multiple sources, to provide coherent advice to further organisational objectives

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel skills, with an ability to create Pivot tables, V-Look Up and Gant Charts
  • Stakeholder Management experience
  • Project Management professional qualification or equivalent by relevant experience
  • Data Analysis skills

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in Purchasing or Procurement

The Nuclear Safety & Security Project Management team:

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Nuclear Safety & Security Project Management Team. The team provides a central management capability to support the operations of the Nuclear Safety and Security Directorate and its sub-functions (including Security, Fire, Resilience, Nuclear Safety, Nuclear Capability, Health Physics and Chemistry). In this role your focus will be on supporting the Security Department and the Security Control Account Manager in managing function and programme cost requirements, analysis, budgeting, and reporting. This unique role allows you to support multiple teams across multiple programmes, including Astute, Dreadnought, and SSNA, offering extensive exposure across the wider business, with opportunities for career professional development and progression.
