Job title: Senior Commercial Estimator
Location: Barrow in Furness
Salary: £50,818+ Dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Understanding business requirements and developing appropriate cost analysis and costing /pricing strategies. Including, analysing historical cost, programmes, performance and technical data and Coordinating the generation of new cost estimates and costing/pricing models to inform the business
- Coordination of cost and pricing activities across the business to ensure all aspects of the programme and associated risks are fully costed and considered
- Developing Analysis/modelling toolsets to best practices standards, including selection and use of the best choice of tool/technique for particular contexts
- “What if” and “should cost” scenario modelling and cost analytics
- Lead and Support price negotiations and customer audits
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Relevant operational/business experience in cost analysis, planning, forecasting or business modelling / analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Ability to work in an innovative manner
- Analytical mind set with excellent numeracy skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills with experience in Stakeholder Management with the ability to influence
Desirable
- Previous experience of data analysis / visualisation tools eg Power BI, Tableau
- STEM Subject qualification in Level 5 and above or relevant experience
