Job Title: Senior Engineer – Design Training Systems

What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring that training is developed and implemented in line with BAE Systems Air requirements
- Creating and delivering the Design Toolset training material to the agreed customer schedule. This will include Training Needs Analysis (TNA) and Curriculum design
- Acting as the technical POC (point of contact) in support of day to day course activities including the development and sustainment of tailored course material
- Providing bespoke support within the team environment on an occasional basis in support of day to day training
- Delivering multiple contracts, whilst ensuring all activities are undertaken in line with the BAE Systems Operational Framework, including compliance with all engineering and export control policies
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a related Design environment
- Proficient in the use of the Dassault Systemes CATIA V5 or Siemens NX toolset, and experience in a PLM (product lifecycle management) system
Desirable:
- Experience in the Defence industry
- Experience in the use of multiple Discipline toolsets
- HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent qualification and experience
- Knowledge of relevant Airframe engineering standards

The Design Training Systems team:
As part of this role you will be provided with the opportunity to work with external CAD related suppliers where required. This role offers the opportunity to work in a rapidly-expanding engineering toolset application environment to enable Designers and other engineers to utilise CAD in an effective and efficient manner. The role is highly visible and you will be working with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic business area.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in exciting change programmes that help the company adapt to changes in technologies and learning methods.
