Job Description
Job Title: Senior Application Support Engineer
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: Circa £42,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage a range of system administration activities such as run and maintenance tasks or deploying changes to systems
- Manage issues, problem investigations and solution creation for incidents across a range of design tools and interfaces
- Monitor the health and performance of the infrastructure via a range of monitoring tools
- You will have the opportunity to work closely with and manage the engagement of a variety of Business and Project stakeholders
- Deliver excellent Customer Service via Incident investigation and resolution to other Teams, Functions and Stakeholders
- Manage a range of Project and Business facing activities such as account management
- Working with a range of PLM and CAD applications
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Good experience of Administering Enterprise Level applications, such as CAD and PLM Tools
- Proven Stakeholder management and rapport building experience
- Microsoft Windows Server experience
- Experience using an IT ticketing system such as ServiceNow or LANDesk
- Ability to prioritise workload in a rapidly changing working environment
Desirable:
- Experience of using SQL
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Experience of using Linux or UNIX based environments

By joining the team you will have a fantastic opportunity to develop not only within the team and function but also from a self development aspect. There will be further scope for working with a variety of applications. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
