Job title: Security Analyst

Location: UK Wide (home working role with travel to meetings to any BAE Systems office). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £ 46,483

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with the Head of Governance & Assurance to produce an overview of the protective security position for Maritime and Land lines of business (Naval Ships, Submarines, Maritime Services & Land/Munitions)
  • Developing familiarity with a range of protective security requirements and regulations to the point of subject matter expertise, and producing material which outlines the Maritime and Land current and future state position against those requirements
  • Leading the development and maintenance of processes and tooling to bring this overview together, taking the lead on management and maintenance of our Sector Security materials and toolsets such as SharePoint and Atlassian, and the development of reporting dashboards

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Ability to use data and tools to extrapolate findings
  • Knowledge of producing governance material and report creation/writing
  • Experience of interacting and communicating with different levels of seniority and across functions
  • Be a confident and articulate individual who can support our Maritime and Land Lines of Business with issues they have surrounding their assurance position and toolset use
  • Experience of managing activities and their progression, either through project management or coordination roles
  • Must have the ability to work unsupervised at times, dealing with sensitive and time critical work

Desirable:

  • Experience using the Atlassian toolsets, primarily Jira for task management
  • Knowledge of MOD or other UK government security standards, such as DEFSTAN 05-138, IPSA and FSC
  • Experience in conducting audit and / or assurance activities

This is a great role to gain exposure to the work of the Security function and to develop an understanding of how critical the role of protective security is within BAE.
