Job Title: Quality Manager

Location: Barrow-in-Furness AND Sheffield – Mobile

Salary: £54,000+ depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Driving, articulating and delivering Quality & Business strategic objectives
  • Leading & coaching a team to undertake critical and complex Quality Assurance activities and tasks in their related area without supervision
  • Owning and driving key requirements through effective liaison with stakeholders, leading, influencing and motivating Quality and cross functional working groups
  • Representing the Quality function at business reviews and liaise with the customer and suppliers as required
  • Being responsible for leading Quality Assurance projects / programmes both within the Quality function and cross functionally using extensive knowledge and experience to support or conduct Quality investigations
  • Promoting a positive Quality culture across the functional areas encouraging a predict and preventive rather than reactive and corrective approach to all Quality matters & Act as an ambassador for the Quality Function in interactions with other Business Units and functions
  • Leading effective analysis of data, identifying themes and driving and leading corrective action management to deliver cross functional improvements

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Extensive knowledge, application and training of Quality certification and regulatory standards and quality standards
  • Ability to articulate to team members on how their roles contribute to the overall objectives of the function and lead the team to deliver
  • Understand the importance of cross functional integration across the Business Unit to achieve overall goals of the Quality function

Desirable:

  • Ability to interpret specifications, procedures and contract requirements and cascade to others
  • Experience leading complex Quality investigations involving Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies; Fishbone, 5 Why, relationship diagrams, six sigma etc. gathering and analysing evidence cross functionally
  • Understanding of Lifecycle Management (LCM) process, Business Management Systems, Operational Framework and Operational Assurance process or equivalent governance best practice from industry
