Job Title: Project Procurement specialist

Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £28,636+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Responsible for liaising with planning, other technical departments and stores for part ordering
• Supporting development and streamlining of department processes
• Ensuring that deadlines are met on time and manage delays
• Managing budgets and accounting for project expenditure
• Understanding, developing, and implementing greater stakeholder and new vendor relations
• Clear understanding of and application of the Quality and SHE Management System documentation

Your skills and experiences:

• Skilled in the use of standard Microsoft packages, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of a procurement system (SAP ideal)
• Experience working within a budget and managing relevant documentations

The Plant Maintenance Team:

Within this team, you will play a key role in keeping projects moving on schedule with material purchasing, and be critical in managing material procurement delays, up to a value of £60,000. You will be a core part in producing the world most advanced nuclear submarines and working on new and developing facilities to support this. You will have the opportunity to meet and develop relations with key stakeholders across the business and world leading vendors and develop your career growth at BAE Systems.
