Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Rochester. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £53,000 – £55,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project
- Implementing and utilising Earned Value Management methodologies when appropriate
- Driving ownership of Work Packages and tasks throughout the project team
- Managing the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved
- Using project management techniques, to enable early identification of problems and implementation of mitigation actions
- Achieving the agreed project cost, sales, margin and cash flow targets
- Managing a small multi-functional team
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Using project management techniques, to enable early identification of problems and implementation of mitigation actions
- Proven experience of developing and maintaining excellent customer relations
- Developing and maintaining a detailed project plan that embraces all elements of the project
- Managing the project or bid to ensure all milestones and objectives are achieved
- Demonstrated ability to make decisions with clarity in an environment of ambiguity & uncertainty
Desirable:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent – business or engineering
- Experience of Earned Value Management methodologies
- Aerospace and defence business expeirence
- Broad cross functional business experience

The Project Management Team:
The Electronic Systems (ES) sector spans the commercial and defence electronics markets with a broad portfolio of mission-critical electronic systems, including flight and engine controls; electronic warfare and night vision systems; surveillance and reconnaissance sensors; secure networked communications equipment; geospatial imagery intelligence products and systems; mission management; and power-and energy-management systems.
