Job title: Product Security Architect

Salary: £54,793 – £60,326

What you’ll be doing:

Working closely with the GCAP Engineering Integration team and with other transverse engineering disciplines to:

• Ensure that security designed into the GCAP System is appropriate, coherent and holistic, forming an integrated part of the overall security solution
• Provide security viewpoints of the emerging and maturing GCAP System design through Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) enabling analysis, review and improvement
• Working with the Product Security Risk Management, ensure that the security controls are appropriately selected in line with relevant standards (NIST 800-53)
• Working with the Product Security Assurance team, ensure that the artefacts representative of the GCAP System security solution are produced, reviewed and delivered in accordance with the relevant processes (Secure by Design / NIST 800-37 / NIST 800-160 v1/v2)

Your skills and experiences:

• Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Lifecycle
• Previous experience in an engineering integration environment
• Knowledge of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets
• Knowledge of security engineering solutions and technologies
• Good communications skills both personal and written. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have creative problem solving skills and be comfortable with suggesting improvements and introducing novel ideas

The Product Security team:

Product Security affords a fantastic opportunity to broaden and develop your career and experience to support increasingly senior roles across the Business. A role in Engineering Integration – Product Security will provide a broad understanding of the GCAP System and offer the opportunity to work across many of the engineering disciplines that are necessary to design and develop our Systems of System platforms.

Product Security works with Enterprise Security in its various forms to provide comprehensive security throughout the GCAP System’s Lifecycle.

Product Security will ensure that the GCAP System remains appropriately secure and resilient within its intended operational environment; have a robust and resilient design to maximise availability against unknown threats / attack paths and provide effective treatment of risks across the broad spectrum of security concerns.
