Job Title: Process Excellence – Lean Black Belt

Location: Preston or Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £60,000

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the delivery of complex, large-scale process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Coach and develop junior team members in Lean Six Sigma and BPMN methodologies
  • Support the Head of Process Excellence in identifying stakeholders, defining project scope, and mitigating risks
  • Plan and lead workshops to capture requirements and document business processes
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies and BPMN skills to drive process improvements and ensure consistency across the team
  • Maintain project schedules for tracking, reporting, and governance of process improvements
  • Identify cross-functional improvement opportunities and collaborate with analysts to document requirements and plan delivery

Your skills and experiences:

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification would be advantageous
  • Experience in process improvement or continuous improvement roles
  • Ability to evaluate complex situations using diverse information
  • Excellent Stakeholder management

The Process Excellence Team:

Join the dynamic Shared Services Process Excellence team, focused on advancing Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement across the organisation. As a skilled Lean Six Sigma professional, you will collaborate with a team of eight experts and analysts, reporting directly to the Head of Process Excellence. Your role will centre on effective portfolio management, engaging with multiple streams where your expertise will drive the delivery of impactful process improvement projects aimed at optimising operational effectiveness. Regular interactions with the Senior Leadership Team and key stakeholders will enhance your visibility and influence within the organisation, offering you invaluable exposure across various business areas. While there are no line management responsibilities, you will work closely with peers, providing ample opportunity for career development within BAE Systems.
