Job Title: Principal Quality Engineer
Location: Barrow-In-Furness – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

What you’ll be doing:
- Travelling across England and conducting specialist Quality activities including containment activities within the supply chain in accordance with relevant processes and procedures
- Providing specialist guidance and support to the Quality Function whilst ensuring that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality
- Business Management System
- Managing own tasks, delivering results, identifying and anticipating risk and escalating problem areas
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) in own specialist area, leading improvement initiatives across the Business Unit and supply chain to drive Quality performance
- Managing own development
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Computer system skills – Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and SAP
- Problem solving Tools and Techniques Including 8D, DMAIC etc
- Inspection Experience
- Ability to produce data and Analyse Trends
- HNC qualified or equivalent qualification/experience
Desirable:
- Lead audit Qualified to ISO 9001:2015
- Reporting skills
- Submarine business knowledge

The Quality Engineer team:
As a part of Quality Engineer Team, you will be supporting the Astute, Dreadnought and SSNR programmes. Responsibility for ensuring that the Business Unit remains compliant to the local Quality Business Management System. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
