Job Title: Principal Engineer – Combat Systems (Visuals)
Location: Broadoak, Filton and Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role
Salary: From £52,365 per annum
What you’ll be doing:
- Authoring ICSM System Requirements Specifications and Subsystem Technical Specifications
- Participating in trade studies which will involve defining key performance requirements
- Responsibility for the technical management of equipment suppliers including the review of deliverable documentation and participation at Design Reviews/Acceptance events
- Planning and supporting Verification and Validation activities
- Providing updates on project status/progress in accordance with project specific reporting cycles
- Contributing to the identification and rapid closure of issues emerging from all product lifecycle stages and managing the resulting change embodiment activities
Your skills and experiences:
- Degree qualified or hold equivalent experience within a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience of requirements management in DOORS
- Hold a broad knowledge/experience of The System Engineering Lifecycle
- Experience of the Military or Maritime domain would be advantageous

The Above Water Surveillance Team:
This role will give you a fantastic opportunity to work on a National endeavour programme. As a team, you will be working on cutting edge technology such as ICS masts, Antenna’s and new inventions through the supplier. We’re involved in the design reviews and the actual interfacing of the Electronic Warfare system into the visual systems which is world leading technology. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
