Job Title: Lead Project Professional – Construction

Location: Barrow-In-Furness – On Site

Salary: Circa £48,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing major construction project lifecycles within a highly regulated environment
  • Responsible for controlling & reporting against all commercial and financial aspects of projects from concept to completion (both internal and external supply chain activities)
  • Discharging Client duties in accordance with Regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining and managing a safety focused environment and culture aligned to the high-risk aspects of the projects undertaken
  • Managing multiple construction aspects while also effectively liaising with Contractors and internal/external Stakeholders

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Experience managing Major Projects of significant complexity and up to multi-million-pound value
  • Team Leadership experience
  • Demonstrable Project Management experience, with experience in project controls, report writing, supporting monthly reviews
  • Good stakeholder management experience, ideally up to senior leadership level, with the ability to build and maintain trusted relationships

Desirable:

  • Qualification in Project Management and/or Engineering/Construction
  • Established Project Management skillset (e.g. development of Plans, Business Cases, Risk Management, OR equivalent experience

The Site and Facilities Team:

As a Lead Project professional, you will be leading a growing team within S&F, while reporting to a Project Manager and will be responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of Major Infrastructure. You will also be dealing with high level Stakeholders internally and externally and managing these relationships. You will be overseeing Multimillion Pound projects that are critical to delivering forthcoming growth expansions at BAE that will impact the future of the business.
