Job title: Information Security Analyst

Location: Nationwide (Broad Oak, Dorchester, Frimley, Glasgow, New Malden, Portsmouth) – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £35,000- £46,000 depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Interpretation and application of Information Security policies and processes
  • Facilitating the planning and implementation of information security controls and initiatives across the business.
  • Conducting first line assurance of the adequacy of information security measures within the business
  • Ensuring that key suppliers from an InfoSec perspective are identified and suitable controls and assurance are enacted to protect company and customer information in the supply chain
  • Supporting the response and triage of information security incidents and assisting with information security investigations

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Knowledge of IT Infrastructure (hardware, databases, operating systems, local area network, etc) and associated security controls
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Information Security principles and processes
  • Experience in advising on how to implement effective information security
  • Experience providing assurance around the implementation of information security

Desirable:

  • Relevant degree (or working towards) in a Security or Information Technology related subject or qualified by experience. An industry recognised Information Security or audit qualification would also be suitable

The Information Security team:

As an Information Security Analyst, you will be providing Subject Matter Expert input for the management of the Information Security and IT security throughout BAE’s Naval Ships. You will have responsibility for supporting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all forms for information bearing infrastructure and information of all types. This role will be varied and focus on both the process and technical oversight of Security Provisions, in the event of an incident you will assist in investigating and identifying the issues.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
