Job Title: IT Practitioner – Application Support
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

What you’ll be doing:
- You will be installing, configuring and maintaining our SAP systems
- Provide overall technical support for the SAP systems
- Perform system upgrades and patches to ensure that the system is kept up-to-date
- Monitor and optimise system performance
- Create and maintain technical documents and procedures/runbooks
- Collaborate with other teams to design, implement and manage SAP systems
- Participate in developing maintenance, testing and contingency plans for software, hardware and assets affecting SAP
- Provide proactive support, through effective capacity planning and change management
Your skills and experiences:
- Experience in SAP S/4 HANA Basis Administration in complex (e.g. regulated) medium to large organisations
- Have an understanding of the architecture of resilient applications
- Hold experience in the support of Category zero applications
- Have experience of client build and refresh processes
Desirable skills
- Knowledge of the latest SAP technologies e.g. Cloud, BTP
- Have an understanding of Automation tooling, Archiving & DVM

The IT Product Fulfilment team:
By joining the team, you will be supporting the BASIS elements of the SAP S/4 HANA ERP installation at BAE Systems Submarines. You will have the opportunity to serve and support over 11,000 users across nine major functional modules and have great opportunity for further development. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria
