Job Title: HR Advisor

Location: Rochester, Kent

Salary: £29,000 – £33,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • General advisory guidance and support to functional line managers on Company processes and procedures
  • Employee Relations case management: experience of supporting Investigations, Absence Management, Ill Health Capability, Performance Management, this will include supporting the HR Business Partners with case work
  • Facilitating new starter inductions
  • Completing interim (new starter) and exit interviews
  • Producing, interpreting and managing information and reports as required in order to support business requirements
  • Continuous Improvement, identifying process improvements with the HR Function
  • Other ad hoc duties and project work required to support the business and HR team to include developing & reviewing Management guides on HR processes

Your skills and experiences:

  • Previous HR advisor level experience
  • CIPD Qualified
  • A practical knowledge of Human Resources processes and administrative procedures
  • Experience of employment legislation and best practice
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with managers and staff across all levels of the organisation
  • Confidentiality, honesty and integrity
  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills

The HR team:

Working in a team of 10 HR professionals providing support to line managers, employees and peers. Electronic Systems in Rochester is a diverse organisation with a global customer base producing commercial and defence electronics for high integrity controls, active inceptor systems, head-up displays, head-mounted displays, power and propulsion systems as well as an avionics market service centre.

We are experiencing significant growth with the work we are winning either critical to our national interest and security or essential to our business performance. As a result, the company is investing in our business with an extensive refurbishment of the whole site including a new 20,000m² factory.

This HR Advisor role will provide you with the opportunity to develop, expand your knowledge and work with leading stakeholders within a global organisation.
