Job Title: Head of Business Operations

Location: Preston or Frimley (other locations can be considered), we offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £85,000 plus executive benefits

What you’ll be doing:

  • Integral part of the leadership team, working very closely the director, finance business partner and business leads to develop and deliver our strategy.
  • Reviewing and integrating total SIS business performance including performance metrics, value opportunities and basics such as training
  • Ensuring all business objectives are managed effectively and that reporting is maintained
  • Leading the creation and integration of key business reviews for the delivery areas
  • Supporting the SIS Director in review meetings and deputise when appropriate. Driving business performance, providing business analysis and insights into driving value within the organisation
  • Providing project management, as required, transformational projects at an SIS level but also provide oversight of all transformational or improvement projects across the business
  • Leading all business governance and assurance working with the respective functional leads including Business Continuity and Risk Management
  • Leading the Resource and operations planning, working with business leads and functional leads, ensuring alignment between workload/operations, financial and capability requirements

Your skills and experiences:

  • Strong leadership, collaboration and Project Management skills with the ability to understand, build relationships, trust, credibility to inform and influence are essential to this role
  • Sound Business Acumen (product, organisation, customer, commercial and competitor environment)
  • Strategic thinking – vision and planning with the ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Significant experience with providing effective business messaging
  • Programme Management capability

The Business Support Team:

As the Head of Business Operations, you will lead all the Business Operations activities across the SIS (Specialist & Infrastructure Support) delivery lines. There will be a focus on driving business performance and integrating projects and delivery lines. The role will also lead the business reporting and analysis for SIS.

The delivery area is Specialist and Infrastructure Support (SIS) – part of Shared Services, UK and International. SIS is a group of specialist teams who deliver Infrastructure projects, Facilities Management, Indirect Procurement, Data Insights, Early Careers and Skills, Corporate Air Travel, SHE and Security.
