Job Description

Job title: Finance Systems Partner (SAP BPC) – 24 months Fixed Term Contract

Location: United Kingdom. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £64,000 – £85,000 with executive benefits package, including car allowance, private medical insurance, and bonus

What you’ll be doing:

  • As the Finance Systems capability lead (BPC toolset) you will be responsible for leading and developing the Finance Systems team to ensure ongoing improvement in data quality, system support and reporting across Finance Systems
  • Responsible for the Finance Master Data ensuring that all Finance data objects, and management information is complete and accurate
  • Identify inefficient processes and data issues across the Finance department and implement the changes required
  • Take an active role in driving new developments to ERPs and EPMs including defining requirements for enhancements/changes and stakeholder communication on process improvement projects
  • Using your in-depth business acumen and influencing skills to drive the direction of multiple stakeholders (internal Functions), other BAE Systems businesses and 3rd Parties (DXC, CG, SAP etc.) to deliver systems administration and monthly Financial Reporting requirements
  • Driving those parties above, to resolve problems in a timely manner, to undertake ‘lessons learnt’ and implementing the appropriate systems, process, controls, or training changes where they need to be made.
  • Responsible for the Finance Systems elements of Business Continuity Plans
  • Supporting ERP and/or EPM toolset upgrade programmes and Finance Systems change programmes – requirements capture, testing, training, delivery in to BAU support

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent in Systems Management
  • Knowledge in Finance System (SAP ERP and SAP BPC), having in depth experience of the management of, validation of and running of interfaces (both Corporate and internal) across multiple systems
  • Experience in leading a Finance Systems team, ensuring the continued support to the key financial systems
  • Experience in collaborative working with IT function, Finance teams, and 3rd Party System Integrators to ensure appropriate training, licensing, hosting, and support structures are in place

The SAP BPC Finance Systems Team:

The SAP BPC solution are currently being deployed into the Submarines business to automate business processes which will enable the Finance teams to focus on value generation activities. The Finance team are currently undertaking a Finance IT modernisation project which will help shape the future IT roadmap.
