Job Title: Events Coordinator

Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinating with the Finance function to facilitate multiple high-profile Finance-owned events. This will involve: delegate management, stakeholder management (including members of the Senior Leadership Team and external providers) as well as collating and analysing feedback
  • Simultaneously managing the mailboxes; triaging, resolving and forwarding queries
  • Organising regular meetings/forums including responsibility for noting actions/minutes etc
  • Responsible for end-to-end purchasing for the team: invoicing and payment process, ad-hoc payments, Corporate Purchase Cards and AMEX
  • Managing and processing team travel and accommodation requests
  • Ownership of the professional qualification course booking process, updating the study database and managing communication with delegates and study providers

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in event coordination or similar roles
  • Excellent time management as well as strong planning and organisation skills in managing and adapting to conflicting workload/demands
  • Confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective and professional relationships across all levels of stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Understanding of the Finance function

The Head Office Finance team:

The Finance People Capability Centre (FPCC) is an engaged and dynamic team of events, learning & development and early careers specialists; you will support a range of high-profile events and services delivered across the Finance function. This is a great opportunity to gain significant exposure to the wider Finance community.

Playing a key role within the Finance function, you will be working with stakeholders ranging from apprentices through to the Senior Finance Team. You will frequently represent BAE Systems at various events.
