Job Title: Early Careers & Skills Development Coach (Engineering)
Location: Scotstoun. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £44,000-45,000 with an increase once initial training is completed
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver outstanding coaching, learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress within the business
- Take professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful coaching, learning and assessment
- Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with frameworks and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence
- Coach learners to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey
- Develop learners that are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through coaching and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Subject matter expert on Engineering, Graduate and Modern Apprenticeship.
- Have a broad, multi-functional focus, looking across the Early Careers portfolio of activity.
- Apprenticeship in relevant discipline (or equivalent qualification such as Engineering SVQ/NVQ)
- Design Engineering (structural, electrical, mechanical or combat systems) experience
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of Awarding Bodies & SDS Quality Standards
- Knowledge and experience of assessment/ verification practices and awarding body requirement
- Enhanced DBS and full security clearance
- L&D9 – Assessor Qualification (Training can be provided)
