About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Careers Project Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting to the Principal – Graduates and Interns, this role is responsible for the coordination of early careers and outreach activities for the Hunter Class Program and broader Early Careers team. This role will engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and promote early careers initiatives and related projects.

This is a 12-month fixed term role and the location of the role is based in Adelaide. This role will suit you if you are looking to develop your career and gain or build on your Defence experience.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, with options of working a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.

Key responsibilities include:

  • In collaboration with specialists within the Early Careers team, you will develop and promote early careers initiatives, including various government defence industry programs
  • Establish and manage partnerships and projects with internal and external stakeholders, including universities and community organisations
  • Coordinate university outreach events and expos and promote and communicate opportunities internally and externally. Some out of hours work may be required
  • Support DE&I activities within Early Careers
  • Coordinate and contribute to graduate and intern activities and early careers projects
  • Program wikis, SharePoint and FAQs to support communication to internal stakeholders
  • Reporting of project initiatives to relevant stakeholders

About YOU

  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination or a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement in the university sector or a community setting
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating outreach activities or events
  • Experience in a careers, work integrated learning or internship environment would be highly desirable
  • A high degree of motivation, initiative and enthusiasm
  • High level administrative, organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Working with Children’s clearance
