Job Title: Demand Analyst

Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Up to £50,000 Depending on skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working closely with the Demand & Pipeline Lead and the Capacity and Resource Planning Lead to assist in the production of analysis and reports that reflect both the short, medium, and long-term view of demand and capacity, to allow resources to be allocated with confidence
  • Assisting the Triage & Assurance Lead in triage and change assurance activities to ensure robust, accurate data is available on which to base assessment and decisions at Triage
  • Working closely with other team members to ensure demand, capacity and resource planning are in alignment based on the outputs of each
  • Contributing to and assist in, the analysis of data to identify patterns and trends, root cause and likely impacts that may affect demand, capacity, and resource planning
  • Assisting the pipeline management activities to ensure robust, accurate data is available on which to base assessment and decisions
  • Contribute to and assist in, the creation of Management Information and dashboards
  • Be aware of the governance of a consistent approach to Demand Management, Capacity Management and Resource Management within the Demand & Capacity Management Function

Your skills and experiences:

  • Knowledge of Demand, Capacity and Resource Management policies, process, procedures, tools, techniques, and systems
  • Some experience of demand management and / or resource management within projects and programmes
  • Effective communication skills for liaison with key stakeholders
  • Some experience of risk and issue management and maintaining RAID logs
  • Data analysis and interpretation, ability to convert data to actionable management information
  • Design of MI and Dashboards
  • Experience of business intelligence reporting software / data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Business Objects)

The Demand and Portfolio Management Function defines and operates a demand management capability, where all demands for change are collected, understood, and assessed, and where capacity and resources are managed efficiently to meet that demand.
