Job title: Cyber Assurance Strategy & Delivery Manager
Location: Preston. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £57,000+ depending on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the HoD Cyber Assurance in developing, socialising and implementing Cyber Assurance strategy focussed on increasing maturity and continual service improvement
- Work with other teams, including but not limited to, Data and Digital functions, to ensure effective cyber security assurance planning across the organisation
- Assist in developing in-year assurance plans and manage timely delivery of them
- Write formal reports, and sometimes deliver oral briefings, on the progress and findings of assurance activities
- Develop and own a multi-layered cyber assurance reporting model sponsored by HoD and encompassing progress, anomalies, remediations, exceptions, risks and issues etc
- Undertake Cyber Assurance trend analysis to inform resource allocation, delivery roadmap and effective budget planning
- Support HoD CSAC and GRC senior leadership team in the evolution of a DDC cyber assurance model
- Develop new, and evolve current processes related to Cyber Assurance on-going compliance
- Plan and facilitate the delivery of cyber security assessments that are aligned to the business objectives and overall company strategy
- Engages with and contributes to the work of cross-functional teams to ensure that customers and user needs are being met throughout the deliverable/scope of work
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
- Proven background in planning complex programmes of work, being able to see the big picture and produce timely reporting for governance stakeholder reviews
- Stakeholder relationship management capabilities
Desirable
- Knowledge of in-scope Cyber Assurance Frameworks such as NIST CSF, DefStan 05-138 etc
- Has sound generic, domain and specialist knowledge necessary to perform effectively in the organisation typically gained from recognised bodies of knowledge and organisational information
- Broad knowledge and experience of cyber assurance and compliance across the business sectors
- Knowledge of the principles of Security by Design (SbD) and their role in ‘accreditation’
