About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Communications Coordinator to join our team. The location of this role is flexible.

In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of communications activities that promote and protect BAE Systems Australia’s brand and reputation with internal and external stakeholders. In particular, this role will support the relevant team with content creation, digital and media engagement, events, brand development and content optimisation, reporting and measurement for stakeholders.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, with options of working a 9-day fortnight and/or hybrid working.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the communications team in the delivery of timely and targeted internal and external communications activities and plans
  • Research, develop and distribute content that drives business results
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts within the business in content development
  • Coordinate, develop and drive communications regular reporting and measurement
  • Coordinate and support with communications for upcoming events/site visits
  • Coordinate and curate social media content
  • Develop, implement and support communications administrative systems, databases, distribution lists, filing systems, record and procedures
  • Coordinate and source quotes/purchasing of materials for communications activities as required
  • Provide administrative support to the team as required

About YOU

  • Excellent writing skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a communications role, ideally in a corporate environment
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation
  • Experience in managing multiple business and functional priorities
  • Enthusiasm for developing your communication and marketing skills, and to lean in and learn about Australia’s biggest Defence company
