Job Title: Bid Manager

Salary: From £58,000 depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• You will be responsible for the end to end Bid Management of key strategic opportunities including all planning execution of high quality bid submissions
• Drive development of bid strategies and winning themes
• Provide exemplar stakeholder management of teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment of common goals
• Monitor and drive compliance against company governance
• Undertake external engagement activities with the client
• Contribute to the development of the capability and ways of working

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Demonstrable experience in business winning activities and pre-contract engagement
• Proven experience of leading against a defined gated governance and approval framework
• You will need to have gained excellent stakeholder management experience with a focus on client facing engagement with the ability to guide and influence
• Hold either a recognised Project Management qualification such as APMP or similar or have gained relevant Project Management experience

Desirable:

• Previous experience working on large complex projects

The SSNA Business Winning team:

This is an exciting time to join our newly established team where you will have the opportunity to grow the capability as an individual and as a collective. This is a pivotal time for the team as we are currently at the crucial stage of securing contracts for the replacement of the UK’s nuclear submarines. You will support by providing oversight to Bid Managers and project teams to ensure we’re delivering our in-flight and future pipeline of business cases. This is a vital position for realising our wider SSNA programme ambitions. Furthermore, you will be supporting the alignment of BAE Systems strategy with the client requirements and overall National Endeavour. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
