Job Title: Assistant Ministry Stores Controller

Salary: Up to £29,500 dependent on experience
What you’ll be doing:
- The Assistant Ministry Stores Controller (AMSC) will be part of a team responsible for the accounting of MoD Equipment issued to industry. (BAE)
- The AMSC provides day to day support to the Manufacturing and Projects business functions, ensuring all activities are carried out within the governance defined
- Records all transaction movements (receipts, transfers, disposal or delivery) in the accounting system (SAP) to ensure traceability of the Government Furnished Equipment
- Will assist with stocktaking on items held on account – in storage, issued to projects/manufacturing and subcontractors
- Needs to ensure accuracy of tasks, services and information provided to team and customers which has knock on impact to our ability to succeed in achieving our MOD audit and self-accounting accreditation
Your skills and experiences:
- Be able to communicate with multifunctional areas
- Good computer skills, Outlook, excel etc
- Basic understanding of inventory control systems – ideally SAP knowledge

The BAE Systems Broad Oak GFE / Despatch team:
The successful candidate will be part of a team of 9 people covering all aspects of GFE (Government funded Equipment) activities, primarily for our Underwater Weapons contracts.
From receipt and short term storage through to issue for work and despatch. The role requires diligent processing to maintain full MoD asset accountability to meet the requirements of Def Stan 05-099 while hardware is with BAE.
