APM Terminals
About the Role
We are looking for a Systems Analyst who will play a key role in supporting, improving, and evolving our applications ecosystem. This position partners closely with business stakeholders, regional teams, and global IT to ensure our systems run reliably and continuously adapt to business needs.
You will lead change initiatives end‑to‑end, conduct functional and technical analysis, maintain documentation standards, coordinate with vendors, and support critical applications within a fast‑paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate application changes and new initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation, ensuring compliance with global technical standards.
- Document applications (process maps, functional and technical specifications, architecture, integrations, configurations).
- Create and execute test cases for validating system changes.
- Manage local and international IT vendors, ensuring quality deliverables and adherence to payment milestones.
- Maintain proactive communication with stakeholders regarding incidents, enhancements, and project progress.
- Collaborate with regional and global IT teams to secure, optimize, and strengthen the application ecosystem.
- Provide solid support for critical application incidents and ensure operational continuity.
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and propose long-term corrective actions.
- Participate in operational meetings, update KPIs, and support project reporting.
- Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimizations and Kaizens.
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ, IT, and internal corporate policies.
- Support additional tasks and projects assigned by the IT Manager.
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience with applications, databases, integrations, reporting, and end‑to‑end project leadership.
- Experience in logistics, port operations, or industrial environments (preferred).
- Hands‑on experience in:
- SQL and database management
- Java and .NET development
- Job administration and server monitoring
- Business process modeling
- RPA tools (desirable)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Informatics, or Industrial Engineering.
- Advanced conversational English.
- Preferred certifications: Scrum, PMP, ITIL.
Technical Skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of logistics KPIs.
- Knowledge of application architectures, integrations, and infrastructure dependencies.
Soft Skills
- Effective communication at all organizational levels.
- Proactive, assertive, and organized.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and business orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities concurrently.
Key Interactions
- Internal: Finance, General Cargo, Container Operations.
- External: Third‑party IT vendors, auditors, financial partners.
- Regional and Global IT teams.
Work Environment
- Location: Callao, Perú (Office–Warehouse setting).
- Work modality: On‑site
