Roles and Responsibilities – Warehouse Supervisor (Inbound Department)

1. Inbound Operations Management

· Oversee daily inbound activities including unloading, receiving, put-away, and system entries.

· Ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials as per purchase orders and delivery schedules.

· Coordinate with vendors, transporters, and internal stakeholders for smooth inbound flow.

2. Documentation & Compliance

· Verify shipment documents (GRN, packing list, invoice, etc.) for accuracy.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and safety standards.

· Maintain proper records for audits and internal reporting.

3. Team Supervision

· Lead and monitor inbound warehouse staff to achieve operational targets.

· Allocate manpower effectively based on workload and priorities.

· Conduct on-the-job training to improve efficiency and adherence to SOPs.

4. Inventory Control & Accuracy

· Ensure proper put-away and binning of received materials as per FIFO/FEFO.

· Report damages, shortages, and discrepancies to concerned departments.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

· Enforce warehouse safety rules and guidelines among team members.

· Ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage and loss.

· Maintain housekeeping standards in inbound docks and storage areas.

6. Performance & Reporting

· Track and report inbound KPIs (TAT, accuracy, damages, etc.) to management.

· Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions.

· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity.

7. Coordination & Communication

· Act as the point of contact between inbound operations and inventory control teams.

· Communicate daily updates on inbound status, challenges, and resolutions.

· Escalate issues proactively to avoid operational bottlenecks

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations.

  • Should be a graduate.

  • Strong understanding of Inbound, Storage/Inventory, Outbound and Returns processes.

  • Mandatory: Experience in e-commerce warehouse operations.

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
