Job Description

APM Terminals

Appetizer

At APM Terminals, a global leader in port and terminal operations, we enable global trade and drive sustainable growth. What drives us forward is a mindset of always improving — observing how work happens, identifying what creates value, and removing what gets in the way. We constantly look for smarter, simpler, and safer ways of operating. If you thrive in environments where people value learning and are committed to continuously improve daily operations, join us and be a part of our journey.

What We Can Offer

At APM Terminals, we foster a dynamic learning and training culture that empowers our employees to excel. Our commitment to improvement is driven by Lean principles, ensuring that every team member has the opportunity to develop their skills and advance their careers. Experience a diverse, multinational workplace where your operational insights directly influence how we work.

We also offer:

  • Opportunities to work with modern digital finance tools, including Power BI, automation solutions, and AI-supported analytics.

  • International exposure through close collaboration with HQ, regional offices, and terminal finance teams.

  • A workplace where learning, upskilling, and career development are integral to how we operate.

  • A flexible, inclusive environment that supports work–life balance and continuous growth.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Produce high‑quality monthly reporting, including variance analysis, performance insights, and key narratives.

  • Translate financial data into clear, actionable commentary that supports business decision-making.

  • Maintain and improve forecasting models to strengthen forward‑looking performance management.

  • Conduct scenario modelling, deep‑dive analyses, and other value‑adding financial investigations.

  • Ensure alignment with FP&A governance, reporting standards, and data quality expectations.

  • Build, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards used by global finance and business leaders.

  • Automate manual reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and speed.

  • Maintain clean, structured datasets and contribute to improved data governance.

  • Apply AI tools (e.g., Copilot, predictive analytics engines) to enrich analysis and strengthen forecasting capabilities.

  • Collaborate with regional, terminal, and GSC teams to ensure accurate submissions and strong performance reviews.

  • Support the FP&A Lead and broader leadership teams with insights, analyses, and stakeholder presentations.

What We Are Looking For

Continuous improvement mindset

We are looking for someone who brings a strong mindset of continuous improvement – someone who is naturally curious, committed to solving problems at the root, and driven to make things better every day.

Additionally, you bring:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field.

  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A or financial analysis in an international or data‑driven environment.

  • Strong analytical abilities and a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial modelling.

  • Proficiency in Power BI and strong Excel skills, with an interest in automation and digital finance tools.

  • Curiosity and interest in AI, predictive analytics, or automation technologies.

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear messages.

  • Strong time-management capabilities and a collaborative mindset.
