The AM Business Process Expert (BPE) works within the AM Functional Process Owner mandate and holds responsibility for L3-L5 Asset Management business processes. The AM BPE is an expert in business processes for Asset Management and the translation of the processes into the setup and usage of the global CMMS system (IFS10).
Key Responsibilities
- Support in reviewing and continuous improving the End-to-End AM business processes in relation the global CMMS (IFS10)
- Providing advice and decision support for Business Process Owners (BPOs) and Functional Process Owners
- (FPOs) who are likely not data/system/process subject matter experts in every aspect of the process landscape their role covers
- Representing user needs and feedback in process design from the terminals in the region
- Making sure proposed changes in process or systems are feasible and implications of them are fully understood by terminal users
- Helps AM Business Process Owners (BPOs) and Functional Process Owners (FPOs) make sure standards are understood and followed in the terminal organisation
- Acts as 'go to authorities' of their AM process expertise area for the wider organisation
- Forms part of a BPE network that harnesses subject matter expert knowledge of our central AM processes and ensure best practices in AM process governance is available across the BPE network
AM Process & standardization
- Accountable for specific L3 and L4 business work processes/SOPs including overall AM process design ownership down to a L5/Work Instructions (WIs)
- Maintains an up-to-date SOPs for the L4s along with inputs and outputs and metrics to define operational success
- Along with the team of FPO(s) who are responsible for the overall L2 AM processes, maintains an overall user journey and customer journey for the End to End L3 AM processes and related L4s/L5s SOPs & Accountable for standardization and automation of the execution steps. Along with the team of BPEs, responsible in ensuring that as APMT we achieve the standardization goals
- Suggest enhancements on Business Policies to enable high degree of standardization to the AM process landscape
- Change Management

Critical Qualifications/Skills/Experience
•5-8 years’ experience in an operational Asset Management related environment
• International experience, preferably in an asset-heavy industry
• Expert understanding of the execution of AM L3-L5 maintenance business processes, work instructions,
data and CMMS system
• Understanding of Asset life cycle principles, its processes and requirements
• Understanding of IFS CMMS/Inventory and Work Order Management modules
• Insight and knowledge of ISO 55000 or other Asset Management certifications is preferred
• Level headed and effective at change management, capable of pushing back when appropriate and face
resistance in a calm and respectful manner
• Good English and Spanish written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills
• Success in this role will require the ability to find approaches to development that work at scale, across
geographic boundaries, and while generating commitment through influence rather than formal authority.
Critical aspects of the role:
- Open to travel 60 - 70% across our Terminals
- Open to Hire across American region not only Panama
