Job Description:

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.

VIE Main Requirements:

• European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and including 28 years old

• Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any

The contract duration of VIE is between 6 to 24 months.

A VIE for the Business & Operations team within Airbus Asia Training Centre located in Singapore has arisen.

You will be exposed to both Business (Business Development, Marketing & Sales) and Operations (Flight Training) aspects, and assigned with projects to accomplish the business objectives of Airbus Asia Training Centre.

You will be engaging customers in the Asia Pacific region to promote Airbus Flight Crew Training programs.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Your challenges:

Business Development:

  • Establish and maintain permanent awareness of regional and global training markets. Provide a periodic market assessment to the management covering the assigned region.

  • Actively promote synergies between Airbus and Airbus Asia Training Centre through close collaborations

  • Prepare and secure AATC’s long term sustainable business through identifying new business opportunities. Activities include leading in ideation, business analysis, planning, budgeting, business plan; business case to execution and industrialization activities in close coordination with relevant stakeholders. Scope may include the following.

  • Identify opportunity to streamline existing process and improve efficiencies

  • Maintain a repository of relevant market and business intelligence data

  • Conform to relevant Airbus Governance standards (e.g. Export Control, Data Security)

Marketing

  • Strategic marketing

  • Brand marketing

  • Flight Experience

  • Communications and events

Training Sales

  • Adopt overall sales processes to secure flight crew training business opportunities to meet company Annual Operating Plan (AOP) target

  • Closely monitor and anticipate customers training needs (short and long term) and provide customers with corresponding sales proposal/commercial offer/long term agreement that are competitive and profitable

  • To perform effective contract management to ensure the commercial proposal, contract issuance and subsequent Purchase Order receipt and invoice issuance are conducted in a timely manner

  • To lead & consolidate overall AATC monthly sales report

  • To generate invoices and follow up on credit report (monthly)

  • To lead and update AATC flight crew sales catalogue (yearly)

  • To perform regular reviews with customers as well as participate and coordinate customer visits (yearly)

  • To maintain customer relationship and awareness on competitors’ offers and assets

  • Promote overall Customer Care Package (accommodation & transportation) as one stop solution for customer logistics needs

  • Work closely with Marketing & Business Development, Sales Support to obtain a good level of market awareness in order to anticipate customer needs and detect any business opportunities

  • Work closely with Training Operations department to understand customers before, during and after training activities with the aim of securing / enhancing customer satisfaction concerning training deliverables.

Your boarding pass:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of stakeholders. Confident to build rapport with both customers and inter department staff

  • Analytical, independent, team oriented

  • Ability to travel frequently in the region independently (once per month)

  • Exhibit interest for aviation and airline industry

  • Previous experience in customer environment in Asia Pacific area and display an attitude that is key to success

  • Possess Tertiary qualification in Sales / Marketing / Business Development related subjects
