The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, open to Airbus to offer young professionals the opportunity to have valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria.

VIE Main Requirements:

• European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco), graduates up to and

including 28 years old (a V.I.E mission can begin no later than the day of the twenty-ninth birthday)

• Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any

• Must be registered on the Mon Volontariat International website before the age of 28

A VIE for a Quality conformance management has arisen within Airbus commercial in Getafe (Spain). You will join the Quality department of the site (QMG)

1. GETAFE: CENTER OF EXCELLENCE

Our Getafe plant is a premier center for advanced aerospace manufacturing.

Getafe is the only site in Airbus where we work the 3 Airbus divisions together: Airbus Defense and Space, Airbus Helicopters and Airbus Commercial.

By joining this site, you will be directly involved with the core components of the Airbus fleet:

  • The Horizontal Tailplane (HTP): Ensuring the stability and performance of the entire Airbus aircraft family.
  • The A350 Section 19 (S19): Working on the cutting-edge, carbon-fiber rear fuselage section that defines modern long-range aviation.
  • RTM parts manufacturing for A350 S19:

2. JOB DESCRIPTION & MISSION

Summary: In this role, your mission is to lead and drive the resolution of complex quality issues through active teamwork. You will not work in isolation; your success depends on your ability to facilitate collective solutions:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborative Compliance: Work closely with peers to ensure European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) directives and production processes are fulfilled.
  • Process Performance: Jointly define and improve procedures to ensure production reliability and repeatability from the initial design phase.
  • Standardization: Create high-level inspection documentation and manage quality software in coordination with technical teams.
  • Joint Planning: Actively participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) routines to prepare for future production needs.
  • Quality Controls: Partner with production to manage Control Plans and Product Process Verifications (PPV) to ensure our manufacturing is flawless from day one.

3. MULTI-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION

This role offers a unique opportunity to work across different layers of the organization:

  • Local Multi-Functional Teams (MFTs): Daily collaboration in Getafe with Manufacturing Engineering , Production , and Logistics .
  • Airbus Central Organization: Working with central departments to align local operations with global company strategies.
  • Inter-Plant Network: You will maintain regular contact and collaborate with other key manufacturing sites, including Illescas , Cádiz , and St Eloi (France).

4. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Languages: Negotiation level in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Programming Skills (nice to have): Basic knowledge or experience in programming (e.g., Python, VBA, or SQL) is highly valued to support the digitization of projects
  • Mindset: A proactive team player who is autonomous, rigorous, and capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, multicultural environment

Notre usine de Getafe est un centre de premier plan pour la fabrication aérospatiale avancée, spécialisé dans les matériaux composites. En rejoignant ce site, vous serez directement impliqué dans la production de composants essentiels de la flotte Airbus :

  • Le Plan Horizontal de Stabilisation (HTP) : Garantissant la stabilité et la performance de toute la famille d'avions Airbus.
  • La Section 19 (S19) de l'A350 : Travaillant sur la section de fuselage arrière en fibre de carbone à la pointe de la technologie, qui définit l'aviation long-courrier moderne.

2. DESCRIPTION DU POSTE & MISSION

Résumé : Dans ce rôle, votre mission est de diriger et de piloter la résolution de problèmes de qualité complexes grâce à un travail d'équipe actif. Vous ne travaillerez pas de manière isolée ; votre succès dépendra de votre capacité à faciliter des solutions collectives.

Responsabilités clés :

  • Conformité Collaborative : Travailler en étroite collaboration avec vos pairs pour s'assurer que les directives de l'Agence Européenne de la Sécurité Aérienne ( AESA/EASA ) et les processus de production sont respectés.
  • Performance des Processus : Définir et améliorer conjointement les procédures pour garantir la fiabilité et la répétabilité de la production dès la phase de conception initiale.
  • Standardisation : Créer une documentation d'inspection de haut niveau et gérer les logiciels de qualité en coordination avec les équipes techniques.
  • Planification Conjointe : Participer activement aux routines APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) pour préparer les futurs besoins de production.
  • Contrôles Qualité : Collaborer avec la production pour gérer les Plans de Contrôle et les Vérifications du Processus et Product ( PPV ) afin de garantir une fabrication irréprochable dès le premier jour.
