Airbus Operations is looking for a student (d/f/m) to join the Structure Design Team in Bremen for a thesis focused on Concept Development for Future Aircraft Structures .

Your tasks and responsibilities
You will be integrated into a multidisciplinary and transnational project team. Your thesis will follow the structure of a comprehensive design study:
- Methodology: Develop and select appropriate methods for design and concept development.
- Concept Development: Create design concepts for a selected structural component (considering composite, metallic, or hybrid solutions).
- Evaluation: Assess concepts based on technical criteria and select the most promising solution.
- Detailing & CAD: Elaborate and detail the preferred solution using CAD tools.
- Sizing: Perform "Pre-Sizing" and assess structural integrity as a key evaluation criterion.
- Holistic Assessment: Incorporate economic (cost), industrial (manufacturability), and other relevant criteria into the final evaluation.
Desired skills and qualifications
- Education: Enrolled full-time student (d/f/m) in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: First experience in CAD Design (preferably CATIA V5 / V6) is required.
- Languages: Fluent in German and English.
- Soft Skills: You have an independent working style, analytical mindset, and enjoy solving technical challenges creatively.
