Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist (f/m) to join our Customer Services department, based in Toulouse, France.

As a Technical Documentation Specialist you will join Tech Data authoring activities working for all Airbus programmes and customers.

As a Technical Documentation Specialist, you will join the team in charge of maintenance manuals, including AMM (Aircraft Maintenance Manual), TSM (Trouble Shooting Manual) and IPC (Illustrated Part catalogue), as well as EWDM (Electrical Wiring Diagram Manual), where you will be given training by the tutors that will be assigned to support you.

Your challenges:

  • Manage all the authoring activities related to the 3 manuals (AMM, TSM and IPC) for your system or Electrical WDM , guaranteeing on-time delivery,
  • Analyse inputs (drawings, design modifications,...) to define the impacts on the maintenance manuals delivered to the airlines
  • Manage the source data: planning, technical verification and incorporation,
  • Challenge the Design offices in terms of input contents and planning
  • Monitor and steer subcontracted maintenance authoring activities,
  • Organize and chair regular review meetings with Design office and subcontractors, managing workload and priorities,
  • Deliver documentation content (creations and updates) in accordance with specifications, contractual commitments, approved schedules, quality standards and within budget objectives,
  • Secure fulfilment of Safety rules, Quality process and Technical Data guidelines,
  • Ensure Customer efficient support by answering daily customer queries and implementation of documentation changes if necessary,
  • Propose continuous improvement for Technical Data processes, documentation production activities and IT Tools,
  • Deploy End-to-End digital solutions in the frame of Airbus Digital transformation programme (DDMS).


For this mission, you will have the opportunity to create an efficient link with Engineering and to work in close cooperation with numerous other interfaces: customer services departments, design offices, airlines, subcontractors...

  • Knowledge of Aeronautics and Aircraft Maintenance,
  • Dynamic, Proactive and Positive mind set,
  • Ability to follow-up activities and good organizational skills,
  • Good team player,
  • Communication skills and assertiveness,
  • Curious and open-minded for changes and continuous improvement,
  • Advanced level in English (B2 level).
  • Beginner level in French is a plus
