We are looking for a Technical Documentation Engineer (m/f) for our French Technical Data Airframe business within the Customer Services Department based in Toulouse, France.

The French Technical Data Airframe department, offering a wide view on Aircraft Structure:

  • We are interfacing directly with the Design Office that manages the airframe design and evolution,
  • We are in charge of documenting their impact in the manuals.
  • We support our customers who are operating and maintaining aircrafts.
  • We contribute to Aircraft deliveries by furnishing the Tech Data on time and on quality.


This position has expertise on Airframe technical publications for Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Troubleshooting Manual (TSM) and Component Maintenance Manual manufacturer (CMMm).

Our team main challenge is to ensure that the maintenance manuals reflect the design changes and understand the immediate impact of these changes on customers' operations, with the objective to provide customized documentation in accordance with aircraft configuration and ICA requirements.

Your challenges:

  • Secure delivery of documentation content (creation and updates) in accordance with specifications, contractual commitments, approved schedules, quality standards, Safety rules and within budget objectives
  • Do internal preparation and authoring of technical manuals
  • Ensure the technical interface with Design Office, Programs, Product leaders, Service Bulletins, Engineering support. Final Assembly Line, Risk Sharing Partners, ...
  • Analyze and collect Design Office source data to define the impact on AMM, TSM and CMMm Data delivered to the airlines (Service Bulletin, Modification Proposal, Concession,..).
  • Launch the activities to the subcontractors in charge of the Technical Data authoring
  • Steer and support the subcontracted activities and check the quality of the deliveries
  • Organize and chair of regular review meetings with local subcontractors, manage workload and priorities
  • Assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports to launch associated corrective actions
  • Ensure Customer efficient support by answering customer queries relative to your field of activities (Airlines, Maintenance Centre, Delivery Centre, ...) and implementation of documentation changes if necessary
  • Propose, define and follow continuous improvement with local and/or transnational approach
  • Ensure the role of Fin sanity check focal point for the department
  • Ensure the role of Focal point regarding artificial intelligence for the department
  • Ensure the role of production manager for the team regarding Instruction for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) completeness
  • Contribute or manage technical data projects
  • Ensure team coordination on specific technical subjects

  • 5 years aircraft maintenance manual expertise (Airframe and/or System)

  • English advanced level (B2 level mandatory), French advanced level (B2 level mandatory)
