System Engineer (d/f/m) - Eurofighter Radar
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

About the Role:
We are looking for a motivated System Engineer to support our team within the Mission Systems Center of Competence of Airbus Defence and Space in Manching in developing sensor equipment solutions for the Eurofighter, including the new E-Scan Radar (ECRS Mk1) and Electronic Warfare products. In this position, you will assist in system engineering activities across various stages of the product life cycle, from feasibility studies to integration and qualification up to introduction to customer fleet, under the guidance of senior engineers.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Requirements Support: Assist in analyzing Eurofighter Avionics architecture and customer requirements to help derive specific sensor equipment requirements.
- Design Assistance: Support the development of sensor equipment design concepts and help define functional and non-functional interfaces in cooperation with equipment suppliers.
- Supplier Coordination: Aid senior engineers in safeguarding Eurofighter Weapon System requirements during the supplier's design process and support requirements-based engineering activities.
- Planning & Documentation: Help harmonize development and qualification planning between Airbus Engineering and equipment suppliers. Contribute to the validation of supplier design documentation and support preparation for development milestone reviews.
- Testing & Verification: Support qualification and verification activities at supplier premises and assist in evaluating test results.
- Stakeholder Communication: Participate in technical workshops with stakeholders from Airbus, suppliers, and partner companies.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of Requirements-Based Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering is desirable. Familiarity with SMART requirements is a plus.
- Good communication skills in both German and English. Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary, international team.
- Eagerness to learn, strong interest in radar technology and electronic warfare, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- While prior experience in the aviation industry or with tools like IBM Rational DOORS is advantageous, it is not mandatory for this role. We value potential and a strong academic foundation.
- Knowledge about Eurofighter Weapon System and Avionics is an advantage.
