System Design Responsible for Connectivity (5G and SATCOM)

MISSION:

Engineer of systems specialized on connectivity.
The jobholder will be responsible for the Connectivity systems: design, development, equipment supplier management, integration, and subsystem requirements management up to the Qualification and Certification steps to provide compliancy with customer requests.

He/she will be part of the Systems Design Team and have as main interfaces the Architecture Team, System Integration Team, Software Development and Test Team and the Project Management.

PROGRAMS:

PROMETEO (FireFighter 24 hours) and ENGRT II.

TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES :

• Definition of the technical specifications for the avionics systems for connectivity and communications.

• Capturing of customer needs and requirements.
• Definition of architecture, specifications and interfaces.

• Specification of the Concept of Operation (CONOPS).

• Work on a connectivity network between different stakeholders (helicopters, UAVs...).

• Perform practical demonstrations and simulations of 5G.

• Technical management of equipment suppliers.

• Definition and maintenance of the documentation for integration into the Helicopter System:

  • Mechanical / Electrical /Logical (Installation Definition Documents)
  • Functional Specification
  • Helicopter Test Procedures (on ground, in flight)
  • Reporting of results associated with the above procedures
  • Contribution to Software Requirements Specifications

• Working in an integrated team (primarily with System, Subsystem, HMI; Software Engineering and RIG Tests personnel), and in close coordination with other areas (Procurement, Quality Assurance, ILS, etc), for supporting the :

  • Software (SW Requirement Specifications)
  • Human-Machine Interface (displays and controls)
  • System architecture
  • System Integration (bench testing)
  • Configuration Control
  • Quality
  • Procurement (procurement)
  • Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)
  • Environmental requirements (mechanical, thermal, EMI / EMC, ...)
  • Reliability / Safety

• Technical Focal point for Airworthiness topics supporting AHE Airworthiness department in front of the official authorities of all aspects of the qualification and certification of subsystem in the helicopter: harmonize means of compliance requirements, collect evidence justifications documents, and provide answers to the questions submitted by the authorities.

• Work packages management/coordination (cost control, booking control, Earn Value Management, reporting to Project, etc...)

• Normal participation as team member in all the scrum rituals required in line with the New Ways of Working (NWoW).

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Academic studies in the field of Aerospace Engineering, Informatic, Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Experience in Connectivity: 5G, Satcom, Datalinks, Communication...
  • Experience in the design, development, engineering and/or integration of systems for aircraft
  • Experience in Supplier Management
  • Team Spirit, good communication skills and experience in stakeholder management
