A vacancy for a Structural Tests Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe .

The successful applicant will join Engineering Department (Struc. Test Laboratory & Systems).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Verify that the system's requirements are correctly & completely implemented. The result of this activity (compliance matrix) may be required for qualification of the system in the frame of military acceptance or civil certification.
  • Set up a development process including all disciplines in a structured process from concept to production to operation. The choice of the developmnent model is not restricted to a special model like waterfall or other methods.
  • Processes and activities must be chosen according to the systems needs. A good understanding of the Vee-model for development with iteration loops and V&V processes included is necessary.
  • Execution, and Analyze for the overall functions of a complete system (aircraft, spacecraft, ...)


Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level in Engineering
  • Experience in Engineering, and structures 5-10 years will be valuable.
  • A good understanding of the Vee-model for development with iteration loops and V&V processes included is necessary.
  • Experience in Project Management
  • English advanced
  • Spanish will be valuable
