An exciting opportunity for a Structural Analysis Engineer has arisen within the Aerospace Airframe Engineering Centre of Competence (CoC) at Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).

The selected candidate will join the Joint Structures Team (JST) on the Eurofighter Plateau. Our mission is to represent Spanish interests in the structural qualification and certification of the Eurofighter weapon system. The team is multicultural and transnational, working in constant contact with partners in Germany, Italy, and the UK. The jobholder will reinforce our Airframe domain, participating in the definition, implementation, and support of complex systems to ensure structural integrity throughout the aircraft's life cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate structural analysis and qualification documentation to ensure compliance with military design approvals.
  • Manage fatigue qualification activities and structural integrity assessments for the Eurofighter program.
  • Lead the coordination of structural tests and the implementation of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) solutions.
  • Define technical solutions for repairs and material selection in collaboration with international EPC representatives.
  • Support future export campaigns by providing expertise in airframe architecture and mission system integration.
  • Translate complex structural topics into clear technical reports and certification deliverables for stakeholders.

  • Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years in Structural Analysis, Airframe Engineering, or Fatigue Qualification.
  • Soft skills: High adaptability to work in networking mode, strong negotiation skills, and ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Languages: Advanced level in English (C1).
  • Technical knowledge: Strong background in structural integrity, abstract thinking for complex systems, and technical documentation.
  • Valuable: Experience in international defense programs or knowledge of the Eurofighter architecture will be valued.
