Tasks, role & responsibilities:
- Sizing of aircraft components, parts and assemblies of primary and secondary structure.
- Structural analysis during design definition and development phases.
- Trade off analysis for different design solutions.
- Linear and nonlinear structure analysis with the Finite Element Method (FEM).
- Analysis and evaluation of structural strength, stability, damage tolerance and fatigue.
- Providing and reviewing technical documentation.
- Presenting and reviewing analysis results.
- Ability to be technical lead of projects to validate assumptions, results and conclusions.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 4 years’ experience in the stress department in Aeronautical industry, Automotive or similar.
- Experience in structural analysis.
- Experience in FEM tools (preferably HyperWorks/Simcenter and Nastran/Samcef).
- Standard stress methods knowledge.
- Programming skills will be an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Good team spirit, autonomy, engaged.
- Very good command of English (B2 level or higher).
- German or French will be an advantage.
