Votre mission, si vous l'acceptez : Une offre de stage intitulée « Stage en Explicabilité des réseaux de neurones basée sur les concepts » vient de s'ouvrir au sein de Airbus SAS sur son site de Toulouse. Vous rejoindrez le département en charge de conduire des recherches sur les futures briques technologiques en Intelligence Artificielle du Groupe Airbus au sein de l’organisation Central Research & Technology, le centre commun de recherche d’Airbus. Votre stage consistera à : Explorer les méthodes d'explicabilité basée sur les concepts afin de fournir des explications plus interprétables par l'humain et dépasser les limites de l'explicabilité statistique par attribution de caractéristiques. Ce projet vise à améliorer l'applicabilité pratique, la fiabilité et la capacité d'action des méthodes d'explicabilité dans des applications industrielles du monde réel, et sera évalué à l'aide d'un ensemble de données industrielles libres axées sur des scénarios d'atterrissage visuels. Ce stage, d'une durée de 6 mois, débutera idéalement en Avril 2027 (cette période est indicative et pourra être ajustée). Vos principales missions consisteront à :
Conduire un état de l’art des méthodes d’explicabilité basée concept
Développer les algorithmes de mise en pratique des méthodes les plus pertinentes
Appliquer les méthodes à un cas d’usage industriel
Votre tuteur ou tutrice vous accompagnera tout au long de votre stage, vous aidant à développer vos compétences et à atteindre vos objectifs professionnels. Ce stage vous permettra notamment de développer les compétences suivantes :
Connaissance des différentes méthodes d’explicabilité pour l’intelligence artificielle
Développement dans un cadre d’application industriel
Travail en équipe
Votre carte d’embarquement pour cette aventure : Vous préparez actuellement un diplôme de niveau Bac +5 (Master 2, 5ème année d'école d'ingénieur ou équivalent) dans le domaine de l’intelligence artificielle ou un domaine équivalent. Vous possédez idéalement les compétences suivantes : Compétences techniques :
Expérience en Python & frameworks ML/DL (ex. Keras / TensorFlow)
Expérience sur certaines méthodes d’explicabilité
Soft Skills :
Excellent niveau de communication

You will join the department in charge of conducting research on future Artificial Intelligence technology bricks for the Airbus Group within the Central Research & Technology organization, Airbus' joint research center. Your internship will consist in : Exploring concept-based explainability methods to provide more human-interpretable explanations and overcome the limits of statistical feature attribution explainability. This project aims to improve the practical applicability, reliability, and actionability of explainability methods in real-world industrial applications, and will be evaluated using an open industrial dataset focused on visual landing scenarios. Ideally, this is a 6-month internship and it should start in April 2027 (date subject to flexibility). Your main missions will consist of :
Conducting a state of the art on concept-based explainability methods
Developing implementation algorithms for the most relevant methods
Applying these methods to an industrial use case
Your tutor will support you identify your professional objectives and develop your skills. This internship will allow you to develop the following skills:
Knowledge of different explainability methods for artificial intelligence
Development within an industrial application framework
