Job Description:

The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for supporting and surveilling the assigned suppliers in order to assess compliance with Airbus norms and legal obligations, monitor and improve the supplier quality performance and achieve the designed objectives.

Audit the assigned suppliers in a periodical schedule, and support the external audits that could involve them under AH responsibility.

In this position, the candidate has also to define and align with AH requirements the processes applicable for incoming, storage and deliveries and any logistic flow involving quality issues, in order to guarantee products conformity

Support, training and deployment of the processes and activities under LSPs scope, aligned with AH common strategy.

Ensure surveillance of activities performed by different LSPs to ensure the compliance with AH procedures and requirements, as focal point from supplier´s quality department.

Provide operational support for quality problem solving and definition of decision criteria.

Maintain and update the necessary material master data in SAP for correct material handling (requirements in PO, automatic requirements at incoming inspection...).

Non conformity management:

  • NCM tool deployment and changes alignment.
  • NCs confirmation and follow up, monitoring the achievement of immediate actions and the long term corrective action.
  • Support for NC committee preparation and lead routines for treatment
  • Provide periodical quality performance indicators report for monitoring
  • Participate and be involved in the continuous improvement process
  • Be the AH focal point when needed for non-conformity (NC) handling, implementing local firewalls or any kind of product containment actions.
  • Concessions and SRFDs handling.

  • Knowledge in Quality Systems and standards for aeronautical industry and Support & Service activity,
  • Knowledge in inspection processes and technologies,
  • Knowledge in failure mode and effect analysis
  • 8D problem solving
  • KPIs definition, management and analysis,
  • Quality documentation knowledge and validation
  • FAIs analysis and validation
  • Knowledge in manufacturing technologies (machining, organic, bulk, chemicals...)
  • Complex cross-functional management in an international environment.

  • Ability to work in an multicultural, multidisciplinary and international environment,
  • Open minded and teamwork skills,
  • Autonomous decision criteria,

Languages

  • Ideally bilingual Spanish and English.
  • French desirable
  • Other languages would be a plus


Academical background:

  • Aeronautical, Industrial Engineer (Master or Degree) or equivalent
